GENELIA AS PART OF THE UTV FAMILY
The bubbly Genelia D’Souza has been signed by UTV Motion Pictures for Ken Ghosh’s “Yahoo” where she stars opposite Shahid Kapoor.
Genelia is the perfect fit for the role because of her bubbly image. She made her mark in the industry with her refreshing performance as Aditi played in Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.
It surely looks like she is going to be the next big thing in Bollywood. After working with Imran Khan Genelia is now paired opposite the teen sensation Shahid Kapoor .
UTV Motion Pictures COO Ram Mirchandani confirms the development “It’s Genelia’s second film with UTV and she shares a very good rapport with the company.
The script of the movie had undergone a number of changes and after it was reworked and enhanced the actress who seemed to completely fit the newly etched role of the effervescent choreographer was in fact Genelia.
The revised role is tailor-made for her. Genelia heard the script and after giving it considerable amount of thought she made her decision and agreed to come on board.
We are sure that Shahid and Genelia will be the next cute pair to win hearts all over. We are happy and honored to have Genelia as part of the UTV family.”

SHAH RUKH KHAN AND FARAH KHAN TOGETHER PROJECT POSTPONED
This news literally broke our hearts and we are sure it shall of all the fans of Shah Rukh Khan and Farah Khan jodi as their forthcoming project together tentatively titled Happy New Year has been postponed ahead.
After the stupendously successful Main Hoon Na and Om Shanti Om Happy New Year was to complete this jodi’s hat-trick films and was to begin shooting in mid 2009 after SRK would have finished shooting for Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan.
Industry insiders claim “The King Khan was going to begin Farah’s next to be made under his banner Red Chillies Entertainment later this year now due to his shoulder injury and other commitments the film which was initially meant to mount the floor later this year has been pushed to April next year.
SRK is currently shooting for Karan Johar’s My Name Is Khan which he is jointly producing with KJo. However instead of Farah Khan’s film he will start the shoot for a superhero film with loads of special effects which is going to be directed by Anubhav Sinha.
This film Ra.1 too shall be produced under his banner and is set to go on the floors by September or October this year and will be readied for release for next year in the summer coinciding with school vacations.”

‘KITES’ IS GOING TO BE MARKETED EXTENSIVELY AT THE CANNES FILM FESTIVAL
A film that holds appeal for international audiences ‘Kites’ is going to be marketed extensively at the Cannes Film Festival.
Starring Bollywood heartthrob Hrithik Roshan and Mexican bombshell Barbara Mori Kites has the potential to click with movie buffs the world over particularly Spaniards. That’s why BIG Pictures is going to market the movie to international buyers and distributors at the 62nd Cannes Film Fest to be held from May 13 to 24.
The movie will also be promoted to international media via a press conference and a cocktail party at the fest.
Reports say the film’s teaser will also be screened on two digital screens flanking the red carpet entrance to the Palais. Normally only teasers of big-budget Hollywood films are played on the screens.
Marketing of Bollywood movies at Cannes is not a new phenomenon. Earlier directors like Karan Johar and Vishal Bharadwaj have used the festival as the ground to promote their films Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna and Omkara to international media.
It’s not yet known whether Hrithik and Barbara will fly to Cannes for the events. But director Anurag Basu and producer Rakesh Roshan are more likely to be there.

SIDDHARTH IS DO A ROLE THAT IS MODELED ON HRITHIK ROSHAN’S CHARACTER
Rang De Basanti star Siddharth is now all set to do a role that is modeled on Hrithik Roshan’s character in Farhan Akhtar’s Lakshya.
Ironically it will be a role reversal of kind for Siddharth as Hrithik Roshan was first approached to play his role in Rang De Basanti by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra. When Hrithik had declined the part Siddharth was chosen.
Sources reveal “South filmmaker Ravi Babu is making a Telugu film with Siddharth which has him playing a lazy son who wanders aimlessly after completing his graduation.
He comes from a rich family and his father’s views push him to join Army to learn the true value of life. From then on as Siddhath joins the Army he ends up standing as an example eventually.”
See by now it can be made out that the script appears heavily inspired from Hrithik Roshan’s Lakshya.
It is further learnt that Siddharth is now going to take a nine month break after his upcoming Telugu film Oye releases to build his body up to six-pack.
He has also hired the physical trainer Satya who worked for Aamir Khan for Ghajini. This movie will be produced by Sunkara Madhu Murali and Ravi Babu.
